Today we had a visit from the Pope with our President Bush and his family and our country. Our World needs the mercy of God on it. Our families need God. Our hearts need God.
We need to meet God at The Well....just as in the days of the Bible...when the woman came to the well and met Jesus...
We heard the Battle Hymn of the Republic done by the men from the Army...I have never had so many chills and crying out of my soul to a song before!! We do need God. "If my people....my people...my people...as God crys out to us ... my people...!! will pray and confess their sins....I WILL HEAL their land" as God wrote in Chronicles so many thousands of years ago, it is still true, unchanged.....we have to confess our sins first....and pray.....HIS PEOPLE!!!!!!
Are we on our knees at The Well today....wiping His feet with our hair and soothing them with our tears?....we must..... lets' look to God, confess our sins, pray and look out of ourselves and see if others have any needs we can "soothe" today....and thank our Lord for our young men and their families that serve us....serve us....remember that!! I too am a believer and seeing the state of affairs in the country does concern me. It seems to be on a slippery slope, spiraling down.
