Have you ever wondered how you would accomplish a task that you felt was just too big for you to get done? I know I think about it and also get other peoples advice sometimes too. Then I like to sketch out a plan of sorts..but in the end, the truth be known, you just have to get started! You have to put your hand to the work and get going! As the picture shows a quilters' fingers!
I use to work as a nurse floating from one department to another to help out in the "crunch"...sometimes I would be on 3 units during a 12 hr. shift... ie: taking care of over 17 different patients somedays...even going into a unit watching over a ventilated patient by the end or smack dab in the middle...I use to jokingly say I was their "daily sacrifice"...even though it was stressful, to say the least, I enjoyed it...I had to walk into different needs and situations and just "get to work"...that is what I think Moses is purposing in the scripture to follow....."ok, guys, I am organizing you now, as God directs, but hey! we just gotta get going on this! and get the job done!!!"
I think I am speaking to myself this morning! I am planning to open a quilt shop in my cabin soon and also offer retreats for quilters or scrapbookers or whomever God sends and also offer my longarm for others to rent and use to get the UFO project DONE!!! hey I just figured something....one letter between Dine and Done!...opps, rabbit trail! sorry! but yes, food will also be part of the fun, food time to dine to get it done endeavor!...anyways! whoosh! ha!
whatever you have to do, just put your hands forward and "get it done gal"!! You go girl!!
I must also honor my husbands'sister Gwen Dean Flick Moses today,at the young age of 28. She died, with no warning, 37 years ago. She was a wonderful sweet gal; his sister and my best friend. I picture her at the eternal Well in heaven..and she would say too..."you go girl"! Love, Kari Remember, to meet us "at the well"!
Deuterotomy 27
1-3 Moses commanded the leaders of Israel and charged the people: Keep every commandment that I command you today. On the day you cross the Jordan into the land that God, your God, is giving you, erect large stones and coat them with plaster. As soon as you cross over the river, write on the stones all the words of this Revelation so that you'll enter the land that God, your God, is giving you, that land flowing with milk and honey that God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, promised you.
4-7 So when you've crossed the Jordan, erect these stones on Mount Ebal. Then coat them with plaster. Build an Altar of stones for God, your God, there on the mountain. Don't use an iron tool on the stones; build the Altar to God, your God, with uncut stones and offer your Whole-Burnt-Offerings on it to God, your God. When you sacrifice your Peace-Offerings you will also eat them there, rejoicing in the Presence of God, your God.
8 Write all the words of this Revelation on the stones. Incise them sharply.
9-10 Moses and the Levitical priests addressed all Israel: Quiet. Listen obediently, Israel. This very day you have become the people of God, your God. Listen to the Voice of God, your God. Keep his commandments and regulations that I'm commanding you today.
11-13 That day Moses commanded: After you've crossed the Jordan, these tribes will stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin. And these will stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
