Riches

As Moms or gals, do you feel like the fall is the beginning of the year? When our kids were growing I would always go through a little mourning in the month of August. Our kids were getting a year older, a year closer to being on their own. I am sure that is so very normal! But, my kids have been gone for years and I still have the same experience. I think of them more that month of August and I yearn for them to be close! Knowing that they are all busy with their families, as it should be!, but our prayers and love and concern can't hurt! I use to write them a little note in August, haven't done that for years, but maybe I will do it next year; we'll see!! We are busy people too, don't have the kids but we keep busy with life in general and then all our projects that we seem to decide to do...Life never gets dull on Hawthorn Road....yes, we miss the kids and grandys that live away but the small amount of time we do enjoy together is just like pure "gold" to us! A treasure of time! I figure we have hopefully 30 summers left before God takes us home, maybe more, maybe less! it is in His hands, as being born was! So, gals! snuggle up close to God, He is your very best friend, lean on His Son at the throne and rejoice as you are channel of His love and purpose through His whispering spirit. Please let us know your needs and your crazy rejoicing too!! Gods' Riches this Sept 11, 2007.... Dobs

I have to agree. Summer is so laid back it is like Christmas. Then the new year cranks up every August. Ha! We are busy, busy! Homework, soccer, horseback riding, projects, friends, and new year's resolutions. My new year's resolution is to get in shape via curves and weight watchers. If I am to keep up with my schedule I better be healthy. Ha! My body is a temple. I want to fill it with good healthy things. Cleaning up everyone's diet in the fam, now that is a monumental task! But every August I vow to better diets all around. So Happy New Year everyone!
